Recently, a national cycling magazine suggested swapping a midweek ride for a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session. It was reported that studies have establish that a few HIIT sessions can improve endurance, as good as, longer rides. Given my work schedule, a long midweek ride is not possible. Velo Souplesse offers a Wednesday evening HIIT session that fits just fine. The HIIT sessions are designed to improve performance over the course of the season and the coaching is excellent. For this 58-year-old recreational cyclist, the once per week session has significantly improved my riding with the West Chester Cycling Club (WCCC). I recommend giving VS a try.

Velo Souplesse is great for cyclists of all levels, from weekend recreational riders to racers. I am a 49 year-old recreational road cyclist and began training at Velo Souplesse in December of 2009. Tim helped me adjust my road bike to improve my position and efficiency. Mike led biweekly computrainer sessions that significantly helped me increase my cycling power and stamina. Mike and Tim also led open weekend computrainer rides that were great training and a lot of fun. Mike and Tim are both excellent coaches and they bring together a lot of cycling experience and knowledge. Thanks to them I am a much stronger rider and enjoy riding more than ever.
